The colors of this piece range from denim blue to pale purple in spots. The lines are a thick black contrast to the white and blue beneath. The paint seems frozen in motion in some places, dripping and blending together. Danielle’s use of mixed media allows her to play with the end results. “I try to forget what they tell you to do in art class. I use the material in all of the ways they tell you not to. I am interested in how the materials interact together, how they blend, how the push away from each other, how they dry. I never know the way and I definitely don’t know how to get back there, to recreate a painting.” Another wonderful piece that would compliment any interior.
