This is a fairly descriptive painting, in that we can clearly see there is a figure with an open mind, it takes a moment to locate the heart hidden within. Layers of paint over ink allow a glow to seep through. The pastel lines are soft and whimsical. What was Danielle’s inspiration? “I had been thinking about love, and how sometimes we can be guarded with our hearts. That we may sometimes bury it. I was questioning the idea if we can truly have an open mind and a hidden heart at the same time. What that would look like. I kept the colors bright and playful.” This painting would brighten any room.
