Acrylic, ink, and pastel

This is a mixed media piece and I definitely used a lot of different materials! I covered the entire canvas in an ocean blue and pink acrylic paint. Next, I layered black ink and added details of matte pastel in the hair on the face. I used alcohol to add drips to the ink so that the pink would come through underneath. The hair is accented with a light sorbet orange pastel and swirls in front of and around the face. The eyes are open and gazing across the canvas. This painting does have a cosmic, celestial feel to it.
