‘Springtide’ has a lot of movement to it. The lines spiral in and out of the center of the canvas. Pastel lines dissect matte acrylic paint and glass like blocks of ink. Danielle gives the reason for the title, “Every spring new growth seems to bound out of the sleeping earth. One day there was nothing, the next a tiny tendril winds out from the soil. The colors appear electric and wake my sleepy winter grey eyes. I wanted to use electric tones to express that. This was another painting originally and I allowed some of the darkness underneath to show through.
