Stained Glass - Pea Shoots
Stained Glass - Pea Shoots
$15.00
‘Pea Shoots’ is another painting in the ‘Stained Glass’ series. The white is opaque and the blue seems both transparent and solid. There are drops of liquid visible in the ink. “This piece was inspired by my garden. Each new growth seems to pop out of nowhere, curling towards the sun. Peas are always the first and give hope for more to come.” The series focuses on line and movement through gestural motion. They are reminiscent of stained glass, yet there is no defined image. The concept is expressed through line and color. The artist gives some clue to the inspiration through the title, but ultimately the viewer is able to decipher their own meaning.
