Oil, acrylic, and pastel

With this painting I used a very limited palette of black and white. I used different materials to create textures in the material. I used a matte black pastel and a slick white oil paint. I wanted to express the solidness of the land and the brightness of the moonlight and its reflection. While this painting is very simple, it is very moving. My goal was to create something that was both familiar and dreamy. Something you could have imagined.
