Ink and acrylic

This is an usual painting for my typical style. I tend to be heavy handed with my paint and choose intense pure colors. With this one I wanted to keep it light and almost translucent. I thinned the paint to allow the brush strokes to show through. I added a rich blue ink to outline the form of the tree. I used a light metallic gold paint to add texture and a little shine. I did a series of abstract trees and this is one of them. I love going for walks and looking for special trees like this one.
