‘Star’ is vibrant and muted at the same time. The patches of ink are a turquoise blue and a deeper denim blue. The pastel lines vary in color but remain in the orange family. Underneath there can be seen a light sage green as the base layer. Danielle was inspired by stained glass and created this saying, “I wanted to try to make images from my intuitive movements. To draw lines without direction. To choose colors based on a feeling and not trying to create or replicate something. All the while, carrying my new found curiosity of stained glass with me. Thoughts of lines, of color, of spots showing through.” We love this piece and think you will too!
