Pastel and ink

This painting is inspired by a Rumi poem that inspired me. The poem is about creation and taking the time to continue to practice, to work. The painting itself has spots of soft pastel fading into a thick circle of ink resting at the bottom. The poem is handwritten using black ink. I created multiple paintings inspired by this poem. I wanted to see what I could create using the same starting point, but treating each one individually. This is one of my favorites.
