This is a very calming painting. The aqua hair and details give it an almost underwater feel. Likewise, the ink behind her has drips and spots that appear like stars. The flow in her hair and the contrast from color to rich charcoal black. I am very interested in the idea of meaning through expression. While, her eyes are closed and her expression is limited, it still portrays a deep calmness, or serenity.
