This painting is about friendship. The friendship and support that happens away from one another. I kept the figures in the background mostly white. Each face is lovingly embracing the figure facing forward. The figure facing forward has beautiful hair, as if it holds secrets. The face is forward and lips pursed, as if in a kiss. This painting came to be on its own. The faces and figures just popped up. During the pandemic, many people are physically away from loved ones, yet still offer love and support. At a time when we all need a hug, this painting is that for me.
