The mixed media use on this painting adds a wonderful textural quality to it. The pastel creates bright, matte lines. The acrylic used is also matte and the ink builds glass like layers in some areas. The colors are varying shades of orange and green. Danielle explains how this painting came to be, “This is an intuitive painting and the face just popped out at me. It reminds me of the seasons and how it can feel like the next one is right there, peacefully sleeping.” This painting does evoke a peaceful feeling. A nice addition to any decor.
