Stained Glass - Fish
Stained Glass - Fish
This painting has thick texture and also a fluidity to it. The heavy black lines hold space for the ink and bright white. Danielle explains, “This was a completely different painting that didn’t work for me. I gave up all of my previous ideas and let this one become naturally. I am interested in stained glass and the images that can be created with line and color. I wanted to use ink to depict a transparent feeling and thick paint and pastel in other places to represent the opaqueness. The shapes are not representative of an actual fish, but the movement and the way they come together remind me of fish and water.” The ink spaces are dotted with drips that add to this underwater feel. It is a beautiful mix of both solid and liquefied forms. A wonderful addition to any home or office.
