This piece is vibrant and very fluid. Danielle discloses her process, “This was a collaboration where we both selected colors and materials that spoke to us that day. We gestured with the inks and pastels without a destination in mind. Once we stood back, I clearly saw a figure reaching across the canvas, which is exactly what we had done. We had collaborated together and were able to reach across to one another and make a true connection. This painting reminds me of connection, of reaching out, of community. I believe we are stronger together.” The lines of ink and soft flushes of pastel add a magical playfulness to the overall feel. The white at the bottom of canvas balances the vibrant colors above creating a very calm effect. The colors are mainly pink, blue, and green.
