This painting is rich blue and matte mauve with thick lines of pastel orange. White ink bleeds through in places. Danielle works intuitively and rarely plans her paintings much in advance. “I work with the material overtime, layering and layering until something pops. With this piece I loved the fluid motion of the colors and just outlined that with the orange. I thought there should be a face somewhere, and this profile suddenly appeared, as if by magic.” This painting is indeed magical. An inspiring image that would compliment any decor.
