This is a dreamy landscape. I used pale purple and an aqua green. The paint is thick and expressive. I used the same aqua in the clouds and used ink to add detail to the sky. The painting is both light and dark, almost as though if it is dusk. The forest growing dark, and the trees are catching the last of the light. The top of the sky being the lightest part of the painting causing your eye to continue off the edge. I wanted the bottom of the painting to remain dark and appear heavier. The sky I kept light and airy with the color and the movement of the brush strokes.
