Each of these prints are inspired by Rumi and include select passages from his poetry. Rumi’s poetry has had a profound impact on my life. Inspiring me to completing a forty day challenge of painting every day. These are a few of the images that came out of that time. I was particularly moved by the line, ‘what nine months of attention does for an embryo, forty early mornings will do for your gradually growing wholeness.’ I used this phrase on three of the pieces in this set. Each one is distinct and conveys the transitions of life, starting as a seed and growing into a massive solid tree.
